It takes a village to raise a child
— Ancient saying
The Vedic vision

A shared responsibility

In Vedic culture the child’s upbringing was seen as a shared responsibility involving parents, the Guru (teachers), the elders, the wider society (the community), and spiritual guidance.

Our role at Sree Sivani

Raising children, together with their parents

Our school, being a community guided and monitored by a Spiritual Teacher, feels it as our prime responsibility to raise the child in an appropriate way — with the help of parents — so that children grow into liable assets to society who can lead the society towards a better perspective in terms of qualities and relationships.

Sree Sivani — school as a community
Our motto

Equal vision for every living being

Our prime motto through this school is to develop and reinstate the intellectual qualities among children — so that they learn to see all living entities with equal vision.

As it is said, true education is to enlighten a person’s divine qualities — with which to see the world around them with equality.
Sree Sivani — reflecting on the prayers of Prahlād
Reviving a child’s prayer

The prayer of Prahlāda

Through this school we desire to re-establish the divine prayers offered by the devotee child Prahlād in Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 5.18.9 — a prayer for the well-being and right understanding of all living beings.

In the spirit of the Ācāryas

A way of life worth restoring

Our school is established for fulfilling the desires of the Ācāryas, who have gifted us a wonderful way of life — one filled with peace, harmony, happiness, and meaningful relationships. The lack of these very qualities is what is creating such huge loss in human society today.
