Value Education
“Children are naturally pure, and real education helps preserve and elevate that purity.”
What is real education?
What is real education? Is it scoring good marks and becoming IAS, IPS, Doctor etc or is it something beyond that?
Real education is the balanced development of a person’s knowledge, character, skills, values, and wisdom. In the Bhagavad Gita (13.8–12), Lord Krishna explains that real knowledge consists of qualities such as humility, self-control, cleanliness, detachment, tolerance, devotion, and the pursuit of the Absolute Truth, which are best cultivated under the guidance of a Spiritual Teacher.

The qualities we nurture in every child
In our Value Education classes we are encouraging children to systematically think about their responsibilities to themselves and to humanity at large.
- 01
Humility
Knowing one’s place with grace and openness.
- 02
Self-control
Quiet mastery over the senses and the mind.
- 03
Cleanliness
Purity in body, word, and thought.
- 04
Tolerance
Steadiness through difficulty and change.
- 05
Devotion
Love directed toward the Absolute Truth.
“It takes a village to raise a child.”
In Vedic culture the child’s upbringing was seen as a shared responsibility involving parents, teachers, elders and other community members. With such kind of set-up, the child naturally felt loved, sheltered and sense of belonging which made him happy and peaceful. On the contrary, in the modern scenario of nuclear families and busy life of parents, children are often feeling lonely, restless and thus getting engaged by the modern gadgets such as smartphones, internet and television for companionship and finally get addicted to it which ultimately is harming their physical and mental growth and spoiling their future prospectives. We strongly believe that these issues can be addressed by giving proper education, centred around loving relationship.
Here at Sree Sivani, we strongly believe that each child is unique and can create wonders in loving relationship. Thus, we create a family environment where a child can freely approach teachers and express their hearts.
“Once such bonding develops between teacher and student it is easy to cultivate good qualities like tolerance, honesty, cooperation, discipline.”
Recognising the gifts we receive
These Value Education classes mainly help them to recognise and understand the gifts and fortunes they are receiving from others, starting from God, parents, teachers and many others in the society. This can naturally inspire them to cultivate good qualities, values and help them to build a wonderful career with a holistic and balanced development and growth.

Make your life successful — and serve others
bhārata-bhūmite haila manuṣya-janma yāra janma sārthaka kari’ kara para-upakāra
— Chaitanya Charitamrita
“One who has taken birth as a human being in the land of Bhārata-varṣa (India) should make his life successful and work for the welfare of others.”

Educating genuine intellectuals
Our Acharyas have exemplified this verse by imparting real education all over the world. Following the footsteps of our great Acharyas we are deriving inspiration from their timeless teachings and this school is established to make children as genuine intellectuals who are capable of facing the challenges of life with courage and qualities.
